The sun starts to peak over the slow undisturbed sea The golden rays illuminate the sand and fill the cliffs with colour I was a constant visitor, but with a pint deducted I failed the test Even so, I felt we would remain friends and I would never feel disdain But now time has passed and your streets and sands are more of a memory Your shapes are still the same but everywhere seems so much duller Things follow a set path which we strolled down together Yet I'm fine with the place you've become, your no longer my place But I can see that your potential and beauty does still remain
